Gwynfro has two rooms for guests, one twin room with a private shower room and one king size double bedded room with en suite shower room. Breakfast is served in the large farmhouse style kitchen, with as much locally sourced products as possible.

Both rooms have TV, drinks tray, hair dryer, USB points, blackout blinds, Welsh blankets and local interest information.

We also have a reading room which is available to guests if they wish to relax and read all the local information.

Our utility room or boot room is the place for walking boots and wet gear if you should need it.

The rooms have been furnished in a homely style and the shower rooms are modern with as much space as possible.

 

Cardigan

Gwynfro, bed and breakfast, is situated in the small village of Ferwig, a few miles outside of Cardigan town. The Welsh coastal path passes close by being about 40mins stroll to the lovely beach at Mwnt. The local bus passes through the village each day giving you access to the coastal towns and Cardigan.

Cardigan town can be reached on foot along the lanes and takes about 40mins. The nearest evening meals and drinks are at The Gwbert inn or the Cliff hotel both a short drive or stroll away. Although it is up hill on the return.

Cardigan is a traditional town with the river and castle the main attraction. The wildlife center is within walking distance of Cardigan town, with a host of hides to enjoy as well as a cafe. Cardigan town is full of traditional shops with very few chain stores. River trips can be taken from the bridge in Cardigan and dolphin spotting trips can be booked at a kiosk close to the bridge. The sea plays a big part in a visit to Cardigan, the river and food festival is a great event held in the riverside car park. April is the time to see a parade of stallions walked through and around Cardigan town centre. A traditional event which is a wonderful spectacle.

Cardigan is close to a stunning beach at Popitt sands, a large  sandy beach with lots of space for everyone. The lifeboat station is a cafe are located at the entrance to the car park and beach.

Cardigan is a quiet traditional town with  lots of out door events and fun to be had for all the family. Plenty of quiet places too with the coastal path giving you a chance to spot dolphins fishing around the rocky coves.
