Snow comes to Cardigan

Living in a coastal area, we rarely get bad weather here in West Wales, but the Beast from the East didn't discount us this year! We were shown a rare sight of heavy snow which made for some beautiful photo opportunities! A short walk up the hill and we were graced with a beautiful view of Mwnt - picturesque at any time of year, covered in thick snow.

Mwnt is an ancient chapel, nestled behind a conical outcrop of rock which shelters a beautiful beach perfect for sunbathing, surfing and dolphin watching. It is one of Ceredigion's best beaches and a true hidden gem. Just a half hour scenic walk up the road and down the footpath and you will see this lovely view.  During the summer a beachside cafe and shop is the perfect place for grabbing a cup of tea and a light refreshment to see you onwards on your journey.
